Easy Play Dough Recipe
This recipe was given to me many moons ago from a YMCA teacher, not really sure where she scored it, but it is a winner, never fails. Sometimes it may seem really sticky or not like play dough, just add a little more flour.
To get vibrant colors, I use liquid color gels, found at Michaels craft store, they seem to give more of a vibrant color than traditional food coloring.
Here's the recipe, let me know what you think!
2 Cups of Flour
1 cup of salt ( do not try kosher or sea salt trust me )
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 Tbs oil
2 Cups of boiling Water
Food Coloring or liquid gel or Kool - Aid mix ( smell yummy)
Combine flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Mix well. Stir in boiling water, oil, and food coloring. Let stand for 10 minutes. Place on counter ( or table w/ children gathered) and knead until smooth, adding more flour if necessary. Store in air tight container in the refrigerator. ( I have never done and have been fine).
Enjoy!
